The Alaska Arctic Chess Club recognizes that there is a lack of USCF rated tournaments available in Alaska. Our goal, Lord willing, is to help create opportunities for chess players of all ages to play in rated events.

The owner of this club is a certified tournament director with the USCF and hopes to engage the local community of Fairbanks, Alaska and the greater community of Alaska as a whole by providing:

• Small group sessions such as Quads and 8 person Swiss tournaments.
• Larger group Swiss tournaments up to 100 players in Blitz, Quick, and Regular rated time controls. With a goal of 3 larger tournaments per calendar year.
• Assist public, private, and home schools with scholastic tournaments.
